How to Clear Cookies from
Firefox and Internet Explorer
Note: Nowadays many websites are using (LSO) Flash Super Cookies. To delete Flash Super Cookies you may need a special plugin. I use BetterPrivacy for Firefox.
Clear/Delete Cookies on Mozilla FireFox – Option 1
- Click on the “Tools” menu
- Select “Clear recent browsing history…”
- Select the time range in the upper box”
- If not shown yet, click “Details”
- Check “Cache” and “Cookies”
- Click the [Clear Now] button.
Clear/Delete Cookies on Mozilla FireFox – Option 2
- Click on the “Tools” menu
- Select “Options”
- Go to “Privacy” and under “Private Data”
- Click “Clear Now”
- Check “Cache” and “Cookies” and then “Clear Now”
- Click [Clear Private Data Now]
Clear/Delete Cookies on Internet Explorer 8:
- Click on the “Tools” menu
- Select “Internet Options”
- In the “General” tab under “Browsing History”, click “Delete”
- Make sure the ckeck the box next to “Cookies”
(you may uncheck any other boxes) - Click the [Delete] button.
Clear/Delete Cookies on Internet Explorer 7:
- Click on the “Tools” menu
- Select “Internet Options”
- Under “Browsing History”, click “Delete”
- Click “[Delete Cookies] under “Cookies”
Clear/Delete Cookies on Internet Explorer 6:
- Click on the “Tools” menu
- Select “Internet Options”
- In the “General” tab and under “Browsing History”, click “Delete”
- Click “Delete Files” for “Cookies” or/and “Temporary Internet Files”
- Click [OK] twice
Clear/Delete Cookies on Safari:
- From the Safari menu, click “Empty Cache”
- When asked Are you sure you want to empty the cache?, click “Empty”
- From the Safari menu, click “Preferences”
- From the Security dialog box, click “Show Cookies”.
- To delete all cookies, click “Remove All”
